Kloosterboer

Kloosterboer is operating a terminal in Vlissingen with cold stores and juice factories. Due to the increasing containerization of the cargo of their customers, Kloosterboer expanded their terminal with a dedicated reefer container stackyard with over 1,000 reefer connection points (and further room for expansion), operated by 4 automated RTG’s. The project is unique as it is the first project with dedicated reefer container storage, with the new high speed travelling RTG concept of Künz, in combination with internal and external trucks driving through the crane portal whereby truck drivers can report themselves to kiosks over the entire length of the stack.
At the same time a new gate operating system and new terminal operating system was introduced, covering the warehouse, yard, and vessel flows. MHC worked in this project in close cooperation with Solid Port Solutions whom performed the overall project management and GOS/TOS implementation.

Services provided by MHC are:

  • Preparing specifications and conditions of contract
  • Tender evaluation, contract negotiations
  • Project management including checking of designs, supervision at
manufacturing plants, supervision on site of the erection and testing
