BASIC DESIGN AND TENDER DOCUMENTS FOR CEREAL AND LIQUID TERMINAL – CONSTANTA PORT, ROMANIA

The cereals project comprises a new high-throughput terminal (4 million ton per year) for the handling and storage of all kinds of cereals and derivatives (meals). The terminal will have silos (total 200,000 ton capacity) for the storage of cereals and a warehouse (20,000 ton capacity) for storage of meals.

The liquid project comprises a modern high-throughput terminal (1 million ton per year) for the handling and storage of all kinds of edible oils and bio-diesel. The terminal has a storage capacity of 50,000 m3.

On the waterside, both terminals will have loading and unloading facilities for seagoing vessels up to Panamax size and for barges (Danube type). On the landside, the terminals will have loading and unloading facilities for trains and trucks. Although the terminals will predominantly be used as an export terminal, also the import of cargo flows from overseas can be handled.
